Let’s Get Grooveshark On The iPhone!!!
Yes, it’s true- I, like many other fools this weekend waited haplessly in line for the new iPhone 3G, but unlike some others, I actually got one! Needless to say its the coolest thing since dry ice, but I’ll get more into that in a future post. For the time being i want to talk about something the iPhone is critically lacking, Flash. And thus, Grooveshark.
While iPhone does have some cool apps, the coolest by far would be a Grooveshark iPhone application. Currently Grooveshark is build in Flex, which runs in the flash player so there is no way to enjoy crunch Grooveshark tunes on your iPhone, which is a big downer for me. Hi my name is Dan Wasyluk and I’ve been a Grooveshark addict for about 3months.
Why is Grooveshark for the iPhone such a killer idea? Simple: space. Memory us limited on the iPhone, and filling it with music AND video really limits what you can carry in your pocket, especially if you have a tiny 8gig phone like me. A Grooveshark iPhone app would let you carry a huge library of music in your pocket at all times, and with snazzy new 3G support you can really stream music to the phone much more efficiently.
